I love fast lenses, backlit subjects, people who aren’t afraid of the camera, morning light, breaking photographic rules (when the Gods allow it), photojournalism, Sebastiao Salgado, Robert Frank, anything by Magnum Photos, catching mackerel on Chesil Beach, lunch at the harbour inn, cooking and eating seafood, travelling, my family (lower down the list to avoid cheesiness…), intense eyes, the smell of the sea, forests, fruit pastilles, amazing living things found by unmanned submarines in ridiculously deep water, Leica lenses, house music, clouds, Rick Stein recipes, jellybeans…
